Might be good for light snow. Most of the recent reviews are bad. Broke after first use, does not lock, etc.

For this I'm out

This is a good deal & I own several different versions of these for each car & I would say that the original SnoBrum is still my favorite but it's usually like $20

Got one last year, it doesn't stay locked well at all but it works well if you can deal with it.

Actually these are great for all snow. They can be a touch fidgety because trying to lock it in place often starts un threading the handle from the shovel, but it is simple to get around. For under $20, having something that will get off snow clean without scratching the vehicle is great. It telescopes long enough to be able to push all the snow without having to constantly be going back and forth from one side of the car to the other as well.

I totally agree with you. This is a badly designed product. I bought 2 a couple of years ago. It can't handle heavy snow, only light snow. It doesn't stay locked. it breaks easily. I would avoid them unless they are being sold for under $5. This is a good idea for snow removal but again it was not properly designed.

Maybe these are hit or miss but I have mine for 2 years here in the North East. I've used it with large amounts of snow and no problems. If it loosens at all it's easy to tighten right back up. Great for clearing roofs of cars and SUV's too (please make an effort to do so)

Just used mine today. Works well in all types of snow, but I agree with others that it loosens up very easily.
