While not as good the Maple & Brown Sugar is a pretty good price as well, $6.79 after a $3 coupon for 4 boxes at 15%

Good deal! But, bummer that they either have soy lecithin or sucralose. Read the labels carefully for those with food issues.

I am an oatmeal evangelist. But I cannot recommend this. Sucralose is great in some things, but gives this stuff an off flavor. Kind of like microwaved kettle corn.

Better and healthier.

Get a 1 or 1 ½ quart simple crockpot.

Add oats and water. Maybe 1:3. If there isn't enough water, you add water. If there is too much water, you cook it longer, or leave the lid off.

Check and stir occasionally. Let it cook until very creamy, several hours. The longer the better..

Refrigerate

You can cook enough for several days. This is a cheap, healthy breakfast, and you add what you want.

Maple syrup and butter (or coconut oil) are a nice touch. Cinnamon? Raisins?

I use organic oatmeal from Amazon.

That's similar to my breakfast. 2 1/4 cups of Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats, 7 cups water, cooked on low for 15-20 minutes. I add some cinnamon, PB2, maple syrup or honey, and Truvia Brown Sugar. It's 1,800 calories and I separate it into 6 containers so 300 calories per day. It tastes good, it's healthy, and it fills me up. 2 minutes in the microwave and it's ready.

That's after about 6 years of High Fiber Maple and Brown Sugar oatmeal. Now I can't even eat Quaker because it tastes too 'fake', for lack of a better word.

Having said that, this is a great price if you like this oatmeal.

Thank you. Seriously. Was about to pull the trigger on this deal but now the idea of waking up to the house smelling of this after overnight cooking for the whole family has been put into my vortex (Abraham reference).
