Acer, CP5-471-312N, 14", 32 GB Flash, 8 GB Ram, 2.3 GHz Core i3-6100U, Chromebook, Chrome OS $439.99

I will preface this post with the fact that Slickdeals auto-filled the title as "Refurbished" but on Office Depot's site there was no mention of it. I will try and confirm once I receive it.

Price is 439.99 after instant $160 savings.

I've been searching to replace my Toshiba Chromebook 2 (CB35-3350) for some time now after the battery stopped charging. This seems like the closest thing to a decent replacement. The only thing I'm not sure about is build quality.

Please excuse formatting and let me know how I can improve

I have the same chromebook (on it now) Toshiba Chromebook 2 2015, on an i3. My battery died after 1.5 years. I just bought a replacement battery from amazon.

Less than $40. and it was super easy to install. Just unscrew the case, unscrew the battery, unplug ribbon, screw in new battery, replace ribbon, screw the case back in.

This is my favorite laptop of all time. Relatively cheap, very fast and high quality specs and performance. I wouldn't $400+ for something thats an equal trade or slightly better. Try the replacement battery.
edit: Just saw that it has 8 GB of ram. The toshiba only has 4gb. Octane Score on the toshiba is 21400 and 23300 on the acer. If you already have the toshiba I probably wouldn't upgrade if you could fix it or it still works. For people looking to get a performance Chromebook this one looks pretty good on paper.

Also the Tosbiha CB you can upgrade the ssd. I'm running 256 gb on it, but I use it with crouton, likely most people dont need more than 32 gb.
