NOT polarized. 100% UV protection. CA has no tax.

Info taken from an Amazon reviewer JohnRon:

The "Si" stands for standard issue as these are issued by various US government and military departments. These are the same as non-si Flak Jackets minus the "Oakley" logo across the nose bridge -- perfect if you're like me and prefer a more "stealth" look. Comes with a nice case, bag, and 2 pairs of differently sized nose pieces to customize the fit.

Interesting because the SI line is only available for sale to people with valid ID, and you have to specifically agree to not resell them. The same would be true for a bulk government buy. As for the non - polarized, one of the reasons why government issue ones may not be polarized is that pilots cannot use them in the cockpit due to LCD screens.

Those ear pieces would never allow a flight helmets ear cups to seal. These days everybody is looking at screens though and, like you said, polarized glasses just don't work for that.

They used to let anyone with a govt ID on the site. I worked for the state several years back. Now they limit it to military, law enforcement and firefighters.
