Steinsgate, Black Lagoon, Samurai Champloo, and My Hero are on funimation streaming if you'd rather have it there.

Not a dud in this bunch imo esp for the price, Wolf Children is a no brainer if you like artsy, coming of age stories. Mom ends up raising her 2 kids alone after the father dies, oh, and the father was a werewolf so the kids are torned between going to school and being normal and the call of the wild and the mom is like, wtf.

Steinsgate is quirky, it's about a mad scientist who figures out how to send messages to the past, then he gets messages from the future, but there's an organization that's actively trying to stop/end him and he can't figure out if he's the good guy or bad guy. It's premise came from when the large Hadron collider had several weeks of weird delays (like a pidgeon got in and pooped on some important bits) and the IRL scientists were joking that the machine was sabotaging itself from the future so that armageddon doesn't happen.

Speaking of armageddon, Evangelion is a mind trip, I personally don't think you can enjoy 3.0 without watching 1.0 and 2.0, it's just too much of a mindfark. Basically, the rapture is happening whether humanity likes it or not, and heaven is sending their angels to earth to fark shit up and there's a secret organization that's trying to stop it with robots and children, oh and the robots have souls, and the kids are all sorts of farked up, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc., so they like, need Jesus, literally and figuratively. Also, 4.0 isn't even in production and it's been 5 years since 3.0. I personally like the original series and think this re-do is great, but opinions go both ways.

Black Lagoon is Rambo meets Die hard meets Cowboy Bebop minus the jazz and set in the 90s... it's from Madhouse, a company known for their great visuals (Paprika, FF7 anime), it's like, heavily armed pirates take on crime syndicates so they can keep the cash for themselves or something... the plot doesn't matter, it's basically an excuse to watch people shoot up shit.

Speaking of Cowboy Bedop, Samurai Champloo is kinda in the same vein, it's about honor but it's set in feudal japan instead of space and it's hiphop instead of jazz, it's a good series and with good characters and fight sequences.

My Hero is amazing, it's basically the first season of Naruto when they were set in ninja school but they're super heroes instead... it's really good, it's got the same kind of excitement that DBZ gave me when I was little. The first season is kinda slow though, but it's a great character driven show overall. In a world where 70% of the population has powers, only a select few are licensed to be heroes, and the best way to get licensed is to go to a good superhero school, and that's what a powerless kid with big dreams to be the best hero wants to go, of course he can't cause he's a powerless nobody loser. He takes on a bad guy to save his friend and the equivalent of Superman (he's drawn western style as in 90s DC muscle on muscle and small eyes and has blonde hair when all the other characters are anime style with skinny limps and anime eyes and hair) is impressed so much he decides to give his powers to this kid so he can retire.

Those are damn good prices for just about any anime, let alone popular titles like these.

Steins;Gate is such a good deal at $11. It's like paying $0.45 for each episode (24 episodes).

with the way things are going, 4.0 will be released in 2034 if the rapture doesn't take us first.

Instead of working on 4.0, they're making 3.0+1.0, which is supposed to be a bridge between 3.0 and 4.0 and fill in gaps... so they're not even working on 4.0 after a 5 year production delay, and 3.0_1.0 production just started this year.

What are you talking about. 3.33 is the end of remakes. Its only 3 2hr movies. It has been done for 2 plus years now, just not dubbed.
