Walmart offers the Mainstays Plush Throw Blanket [walmart.com] in several colors ranging from $3 to $5 (Holiday Dogs pictured for $3). Opt for in-store pickup to dodge the $5.99 shipping fee. It measures 50" x 60".
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Homeless people who are living outside really need more substantial blankets. Maybe sleeping bags. Also housing. Dogs have "evolved" through breeding to live in companionship to humans. They also need to lay down on things. That can be washed. For the sake of the humans.

Awwwww for dogs, but just the thought of going anywhere near a Walmart this week to have to pick this up is terrifying.

My Walmart has actually had these in non-Christmas designs for a few months now. $3 is about the average price there.

They are very thin, but warm enough. I have a bunch in various rooms for the dog, and one for myself.

I love these, I buy them every year for my two x-large bagel dog beds from majestic pet bed. They're thin enough for summer and keep the bed clean from hair between washings.

The thickest blankets for winter and best deal to me are the blankets from Kmart when it's BOGO and with free cash. I got 4 for $3 total. Kohl's also has those deals with the Saint Nicolas branded blankets that have dog prints, but those were about ~$3 each. They're slightly better print, quality, and texture than the Walmart ones.

I like to hit Walmart around 10 or 11 PM. Another good time is around 7 or 8 AM.

For the one that is closest to my place, I'm scared of getting robbed in the parking lot anytime after 8pm...

Thanks! I try to get a bunch of these to give to our nearby dog rescue whenever they go on sale. The dogs love them.

Curious, why dog rescue but not homeless? The reality is Dogs are perfectly evolved to manage cold weather while humans arent

If your WM has a drive-thru store pickup, that's a good route to go. I use it for my groceries and anything else that qualifies that keeps me out of the store itself. I've always had good service at the pick-up.

In for 4 -- my cats love these! Thanks, and repped.
