Personally I'd rather pay $20 a year than run cat5e all over the house

Math here.

7x24x365 = 61,320 watts per year= 61kW per year.

My rate for 1kW is currently $.0864
61kW x $.0864 = $5.30 per year

I got this during BF on Amazon for the same price and was so hyped to use it. It would not work for me. It won't connect over multiple circuits at all. I did some research and I guess the units have to be on the exact same circuits to work properly which is not stated anywhere on the instructions or web descriptions. I have used powerline for years with 4 different adapter sets and have had no issue's besides with these. It might work for others but chances are it won't.

keep in mind these use about 7 watts not doing anything so calculate 7 watts 24/7 365 as year

your electric bill just went up about 20 dollars a year

do yourself a favor just run cat 5e
Personally I'd rather pay $20 a year than run cat5e all over the house

cool. you know your not getting true 1 GBPS , you are lucky to get half this speed. but i guess you already knew that. Also good luck putting these on different circuits , your speed will be reduced greatly or might not work correctly.
I'd be happy with 50mbps lol. Will see how it goes.
