We have this tent! Have used it for family camping trips to Yosemite. We've even set it up in some pretty tight spaces. It's a great tent, at a great price.

My first thought was you'd need to have to some sort of refugee crisis to need this. Then I looked at the reviews - "Drea" made a sweet little pad. I could definitely see a large family doing a week long trip in this.

Be nice if Amazon would price drop some large Coleman instant tents.

That's too many stinkin' butts in one tent, IMHO! But a good deal if you don't mind...

Drea's awesome, we love her. She shows how family camping is done. And she makes a good point about setting it up ahead of time with her 14 year old to do some supplemental water proofing.

All kidding aside, I watched the video and was at least relieved to see that the primary structural poles are steel. Looks like fiberglass is used only for the center canopy. Fiberglass would not be strong enough to lend sufficient rigidity to a fabric structure this size, particularly in high winds.

I'm always leery of these big box store tents, especially at these insanely low prices. Still, this is an impressive structure for $140. For large families camping in climates where bugs, wind and maybe morning dew are more of a concern than torrential rains, I could see this being a good value. Especially if you heed our family camping hero Drea's advice and spend an hour or two going over the major seams with some seam sealer. Maybe pick up a few cans of that spray urethane product they sell in the camping section at Walmart and go over the insides of the rain fly and the floor of this thing.

Kids at least will have a blast romping around inside this thing once it's set up.
