Total blender with 4 side jar keeps popping up for $180 new. Is this a better deal? Is the base any better or the wildside+ jar worth the extra $?

This is a better deal.

New instead of refurb so you get a longer warranty.

Wildside+ jar holds more and blends better, so you are less likely to have an air pocket that prevents food from blending.

The base is better. A Total Blender is an old design. The Designer series is newer-designed and you can control the speed by sliding your finger instead of pushing "+" and "-" a bunch of times.

The $180 deal was for new both times that it was posted recently, not refurb.

But I will take the other stuff into consideration. Thanks.

Bought one. OP is wrong. The product is designer 600 not designer 625. Gonna return the product.
