Wouldn't the 4 HD streams be running over your LAN?

They added comskip into the DVR beta which works well most of the time, but I use MCEBuddy so I can have custom INIs for each channel/show and convert them to HEVC.

It all runs on your internal network unless you want to stream outside of your home...

You clearly don't understand networking basics. If it's not for you, cool, just move along.

I don't buy anything from Best Buy because of their return policy.
This is exclusive to them. Your only other option is to buy the two tuner version at other retailers.

Connect has better quality tuners, so if you have low signal for some channels, it may help. Personally prefer the Quatro rather than the Extend since I cut out commercials and transcode on my server anyway.

Thanks for the info. What do you use to accompany it? I was looking at plex, but I am very familiar with the non-piratey aspects of Kodi.

Plex. Lifetime for $75 was worth it.

That is exactly, what I have been religiously scouting out! LOL..

Does that have add-ons for trans-coding and commercial removing or is that separate?
