Lowes ROCKWELL Sonicrafter 32-Piece Corded 3.5-Amp Oscillating Tool Kit $50 Free Shipping 12-19-17 only [lowes.com]

I left a price match request on the Amazon website at posting and didn't wait to see if it matched. Right now it is $75 on Amazon [amazon.com].

add filler and then use a $10 off $50 lowes coupon and it is better than price match

Ordered on 11/29 for $79-$15=$64. Just placed a new order and used a $10 off code and saved $24 off my first order. Will be returning the first order when I pickup the new one. Thanks OP for posting this. lol Had no intention of going to Lowes.com today and would have never seen the Deal of the Day.

This should be the matching unit on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ME95...oAbP103V2A

Make sure you check out the reviews on Amazon. While there are some good reviews, others reported that this unit became problematic and stopped working.

I rolled the dice and made the purchase with a 2-year warranty plan.

It comes with a 3 year if I remember correctly.

I had no problems plunge sawing through the side of 1953 petrified 2x4 in our bathroom wall to install a larger recessed mirror. Was a 26"x1/2-3/4"x2 3/4" plunge. (Height X width X plunge into the side of the 2x4 for ref) I say 1/2-3/4" on the width of what was taken off the 2x4 because who ever put the last recessed mirror in chopped the side off the 2x4 with a chisel for 21" in height so it was an uneven disaster that I had to work with. lol

If you don't cinch the clamp down tight it will vibrate loose so make sure you cinch the clamp down good before you break over the handle. When you think it's tight tighten it some more basically. lol

Yea unlike the paid reviews that litter Amazon. lol

I would check out some videos about choosing the correct blade and for using the type of tool it is if you have never used one like me. I would have used the circular blade because I was plunge cutting a 2x4 and turns out that would have been the incorrect blade to use.

I never would have thought the blade with a flat edge on both sides would have been ok for cutting into a flat surface like the side of a 2x4. Let the tool do the work and you just act as a guide/steer wheel for it. Will help to save the blades and not just chew them up and overwork the tool.

Works great for cutting through sheet rock which I had to do to get to the 2x4. So if your ever putting in new plugs, switches, light fixtures, etc it's a dream. Screw a hand sheet rock saw. lol It will dust the entire room though so remove/cover things before using or have someone to hold a strong vacuum right by the tool.

I wish I took more out of the bathroom before I started working lol.

Likely missing the word oscillating to set off people's deal alerts and clue people in to what it is.

I got this Porter Cable one on Black Friday at Lowe's for $40. The main complaint of it I keep seeing is that it gets really hot. It's a 3-amp vs this Rockwell that is 3.5-amp. Does this one get really hot and is the extra 0.5 amps worth it to return the Porter Cable and get this one for $40 with a $10 off?

I'd essentially get an extra 0.5 amps and more pieces in the kit, but it's mostly sanding pieces. If this Rockwell doesn't get as hot as Porter Cable, maybe it would be worth it to swap? What do you all think?

Agree, as this is the deal of the day at Lowe's, better to use the coupon.

Spare blade made the perfect filler with coupon for $57 shipped, plus used a Lowe's GC that was 15% off! Thanks
