I've used webroot for 2 years and wasn't totally happy with. It's still better than norton and mcafee. I'm currently using Bitdefender and it rocks. I highly recommend it.

Don't mean to thread crap. Just sharing my experience with this type of software.

Thank you for reading my mind! I was just going to ask about this as my bitdefender sub expires in March.

Did you get a virus or ransomeware? Been using for longer and yet to have a problem.

One virus that it could not get rid of and other than it had issues with daily operations. Had it on a total of 10 computers and it was resource heavy at times on most of them. On maybe 3 I had to uninstall and reinstall and had issues with that too. I also recall certain websites not rendering properly too. Once I did an uninstall the websites looked perfect. Computers were all pretty modern too with specs above average. Random annoying things that I rather not deal with. I've been using bitdefender and been really happy with it. Lightweight and lots of options.

All that sounds odd. Again used it for years my brother puts it on all the computers he supports it's very light weight and I like the web safe interface. Which can be turned off in most modern browsers Chrome and Firefox. I use it on my PCs and Mac. Thanks for your input. My sub is running out I'm grabbing a copy for me and my gf.

Be sure to remove credit card on file as they auto renew. I had to call their support for a refund. Got refunded after a couple of weeks and a dozen email.

Really??? I've been using Webroot on 8 different computers for 3 years and never once caught a virus or randsomware. The reason I love webroot so much is that it isn't resource heavy on my computers and doesn't have the constant pop-ups that other AV's are known to do. Along with Webroot I use Malwarebytes (free) and ccleaner (free) and I've never had a problem. PeacePeacePeace

I just moved to webroot from Kaspersky. Not that enthused with it. I wish Kaspersky didn't have that Russia baggage with it since it worked great for me for 2 years. Yes Kaspersky had a lot of pop ups when I visited a popup heavy bootleg streaming site but I didn't really mind it since I knew it was protecting me. I haven't had one webroot popup when I visit similar sites. Not sure if Kaspersky was being overly protective or if webroot just not catching stuff it should?

Webroot seems to like to flag any type of cracked program/game as a virus though. Which Kaspersky never really did. Which I could get over but after scanning like 4 drives with webroot to add false positives to my allow list I noticed that my entire block/allow file list was randomly deleted so I have to do it over. And this is only after 2 or 3 days of use that it just randomly deleted it.

I guess I will stick with it as I just paid for a 1 year sub. I was thinking of getting Bitdefender and do kinda wish I could do over that choice. Hopefully I like webroot more as I got along. As long as my computer seems to be safe and there isn't too much slowdown that would be the most important thing.
