Your type should be categorically banned from Slickdeal. What you're doing is not a slick deal. It's an absolute exploitation of a generous refund policy.

No, they are different. The one from Amazon was a BX1500M:

This one is a BX1500G:

I think they are essentially the same product, but I believe the BX1500G (the one listed here) has been discontinued and the BX1500M is a newer model. Both are listed as having Gigabit Ethernet surge protection which was important for me...

Just a FYI,

Waveform Type: Stepped approximation to a sinewave

If you want pure sine-wave, will need to step up to Smart-UPS class

Correct. The BR1500G is the expansion battery capable one. It has a slot in the upper left of the back to plug the battery into (reference [apc.com]) So neither Amazon or this deal are for the one with expansion capability.

Which I was going to say the SD deal for $189 and $90 rebate which I FINALLY got 2 weeks ago from august was the better deal. Have the discover price protection claim in.. but they eliminated the majority of electronics from the list.. might change which card I buy stuff on now

Best thing to do with UPS battery backups is buy from Costco. Opwhen the battery pack itself eventually dies, just return to Costco and get another one. Lifetime returns baby!!

Why is it unethical? I'm not breaking any rules. Breaking any laws?

What else you got for me Mahatma Gandhi
It's abuse of a system that was setup to help people who genuinely had a problem.

You on the other hand got the full use of an item and are returning it afterword.

Maybe someday you will realize. If not, I can only hope that Costco adds an exception to their policy to protect themselves from abuse like this, since this item really should fall under the 90 day electronics policy.
