Can you actually focus and trigger shutter with the touch screen? Looking at youtube videos of the touchscreen usage for photos, it doesn't seem very well executed. You have to touch to focus, and then hit the shutter? Why don't they just have the shutter trigger along with the touch?

I'm surprised that my purchased A6000 kit purchased 2-years ago has not depreciated in value:

I would have expected it to be about $550 with the two lenses.

Is this an authorized retailer with full US warranty, or is this grey market with no warranty?

This is not a camera meant to be used as a smartphone. Don't buy this for snapshots--buy this because you want a 4k APS-C mirrorless camera with excellent optical image stabilization and video features. The touchscreen is really just for navigating menus. Everything else (shutter, basic photo settings like aperture, etc.) is controlled with dials and buttons.

I'm not sure where the impression of using the touch screen for "snapshots" comes from. You're taking pictures, and you're looking for the best way to do it. Sometimes, especially with kids, it's very uncomfortable to get down at their level and still be able to frame the shot through the viewfinder. In those situations, touch screen focus works out best. Using touchscreen focus doesn't remove the benefits of 4K APS-C, IS, and video features.

? I meant for when you're not using the viewfinder.
