Yes I don't see why someone would buy two of these for $60 instead of the great LIFX bulbs which are $50 each. It makes no sense...Confused

They're RGBW bulbs. So yes, you can dim them. Since they're wifi, no hub is needed. You can control/dim/set color via phone app. Also, if you have a smartthings hub, looks like there is a device handler to control via Smartthings.
