Does it require other service with them or can it be on its own? I use Verizon but this would be convenient.

It looks like $2 is just for the device; data plan is extra ($20 and more)

Sorry for beating on a dead horse, but this is just in case there's someone on the fence.

I got one for free and with free service. Still not worth it. Not worth the space it takes in the car, not worth the space it takes in my drawer. So unless they're paying you, don't bother.

Well I'm using one as well on a free line and I use it everyday. I have an Amazon Echo installed in the car that I use to play music and my daughter uses the wifi for her phone.

The unit is so small that you don't even notice it when it's installed in the car so I don't understand why you say it's a waste of space, unless of course if you don't use it.

I actually want to get another one for my wife's car but I'm contemplating if it's worth paying for the service, I really wish that T-Mobile would have those free lines again.

Can't you achieve the same by hot-spoting your phone? Maybe in your car it hides well, but on mine it's on my way when getting in and out of the car. I was always bumping on it. It all depends where the OBD2 port is located.

I had hopes that they would develop it more. Have they improved it all from the first time you used it?

using hotspot will eat up my data and make my phone hot and use up my battery. my daughter watches Netflix and YouTube and they stream data free on the Sync-Up drive, as well as music on the Echo dot. Not sure if they improved it or not since I mostly only use it for the WiFi.

How much is the device
how much is the monthly plan
can this be used as a cheap lowjack
what is the road side assistance thing?

Thanks for anyone who can answer any of the above.
