I've been watching these, waiting for them to go down from $17.95. It's currently down to $15.30 (15% off). Not much, but I haven't seen the price drop for a few months. Lowest price was about 6 months ago at $13.02

I use these in my camera mounted flash are great batteries.

4 batteries with charger. Do you need the charger? Why not just get the 8 pack eneloop batteries for $18.99?

Or for $5 more, you can get the larger bundle with more batteries and size C and D adapters at Costco.

Does anyone know if these are still available at Costco? I have not had a chance to go out to take a look.

Included charger is not bad. I already have a La Crosse BV-700 but bought this 2 years ago when my son started college and needed a charger for his gaming mouse. It's not fast but it does charge independently and is worth ~ $10.

Non SD. Get a universal charger like nitecore D2 or Liitokala and get an 8 pack.

Eneloop are the best for AA and AAA. But Xbox has custom ones that can also charge on the stand.

Maha C-9000 or the LaCrosse BC-700/900. Forget that charger they include in these bundles.

IF it actually comes with the BQ-CC17 charger [lygte-info.dk], AND you are OK with a non-analyzing/slower charger this is an OK package. BUT, the charger with Eneloops changes frequently. Some are just not as good. You can read about other chargers in that link above. There are certainly chargers with lots more useful functions but the BQ-CC17 is fine for regular charging use. It is NOT a cheap dumb charger.

Anything Xbox 'makes', they simply buy and re-package. Unless they are using Eneloops or something of similar quality you would actually be doing worse.

Yes, you can use ANY DECENT NiMh charger on ANY NiMh battery if it is of a size to fit the charger. Pay attention to that qualifier "decent". There are a good number of decent chargers of varying characteristics and quality. Spend time in that link above to do some serious research.
There is also a lot of junk.
