Why so low? I know these went for $50 on BF but is there a reason why its low? Maybe people dont like them that much?

Honestly, I'm not sure - it looks like they are only discounting the Black versions. If you try to change colors, the price goes up to $99. maybe they are just clearing out the 'special edition' models?

Reading through some of the other post - it seems like the 'Special Editions' are missing some accessories that the regular Freedoms would come with - such as comply tips.

I bought these last week, when you still get 10% cash back for using Chase pay in store (sorry, that ship has sailed 12/24).
Right, these are "special edition", which comes with less tips. Also, the normal freedom F5 looks like it's made from metal, while my special editions are clearly plastic.
Saving $50 in exchange for a change in case material seems like a good deal for me, and the sound quality is decent for the price.

I got these to replace my LG Tones [HBS-730] where the mic died. The sound quality is lightyears better than my tones with sound being better all across the board. The problem with these as many have stated is that the battery and control buttons are on one side of the headset which keeps dragging that side down and eventually makes them fall out of your ear. I haven't tried using their clips yet because the one that came with mine broke so I am waiting on them to send me new ones. But for $50 which is $20 more than what I paid for my tones, the sound quality makes it worth it. I do have about another 2 weeks before I have to return them so I will use them and if I don't like em I will bring em back.

3* on Amazon...seems like the $150 retail price is heavily inflated.

The freedom version 2 are out. I believe it's newer than freedom 5 that are currently on sale.

Also, if using these for sport, not really sweat proof. To charge the headphone, you need the extra battery. It has the charge port. And the way they connect to the headphones uses a series of pins, which can let sweat into the headphones. I've destroyed one pair from bf sale, lucky Costco is still pretty good about their satisfaction guaranty
