My mom wants a simple-to-use speaker into which she can plug in a usb drive and play music.

The closest things I can find are portable Bluetooth speakers but I think these are overly complicated (i.e., require a phone etc.).

She just wants to be able to plug in a usb drive and press on and have the speaker work. It doesn't need to be portable.

I prefer plugging it into the wall so she doesn't have to worry about charging it.

Is there anything that fits the bill?
There are plenty of different bluetooth speakers with sd card slots and USB ports for music input, just search on amazon or ebay for a speaker with TF and USB slots. I have one model/brand called "Reacher" (seems to be popular on ebay and amazon) and it works fine with music preloaded on USB, you don't have to worry about bluetooth - when you plug in your USB thumb drive it will automatically switch to USB playback mode, so no need to fiddle with pairing and setup.
I've also seen really simple cheap non-bluetooth speakers with USB and TF slots for playback and FM radio in stores like Big Lots and Tuesday Morning for about $10.
