The problem is not tipping, the problem is that the engineers and the QA are *insert choice words here*. The retina piercing blue status lights that never dims is the most brilliant thinks I have seen, great feature especially when using at night you could see it from the moon. I thought they could not top this act of brilliance but they did! They added a beep to EVERY single change on the heater. Want to change the temp from high to low in the middle of the night with out waking anyone up? BEEP! Want to turn it off in the middle of the night? BEEP!! Genius!!! Just genius!!! Everyone from the designer to the engineers to he qa to a VP all thought that this were good features. Wow! Can you imagine people get paid money for this? This unit should come with a chines to English miss translated instruction manual.

Anyone try this with a smart plug? I need one with a manual switch, so it doesn't reset each time I turn on/off remotely.

I'm interested in exactly this as well. I'm sure at some point, someone will make a smart-controlled greater (and maybe they already have). But until then, I would like to take advantage of the relatively cheap smart plugs available.
