1) I got mine shipped. It came with Android Wear 1.5 and no SIM card. I am still not sure how e-sim works. In addition, the charging stand uses micro USB cord and is not the original

2) Update on seller: tekreplay. Retail seal is broken so they put a second plastic seal to make it look new. Watch looks used with the plastic film reapplied.

Definitely not new as advertised. Returned it back to seller for refund.

Don't fall for it. There's a reason it's 270 bucks off. Verizon put all of its crapwear on it and forces you to use Verizon+ messages to text.

I got one and it was not new, in a white refurbished box and the charging cable is not original. Also, it doesn't come with a Verizon SIM card and I haven't figure out how to install one.

It has an e-sim built in for verizon. I haven't used it but IIRC its $5 extra per month if you already have a verizon plan and $10/mo if you don't.

However I hear it sucks as a standalone phone.

The above comment about having to use verizons text service is untrue. You can install google messaging on it. What you can't do is uninstall the verizon bloatware.

What does e-sim mean? Mine came without a SIM card while there was an IMEI number from the box. Could I activate the service just using the IMEI? Yes, we can use any messaging app. The power key position is the same as Moto 360 1st gen, which is a little annoying.

Open your browser.

Type 'google'.

In the search field, type 'e-sim'.

Voila.

An e-sim, or eUICC is a programmable sim card (its built in to the chip and not the SIM card that you've grown accustomed to seeing) on the PCB. Essentially it is a multi-carrier SIM that has several of the carriers' "profile" on it. ***That does not mean that you can use this device on multiple carriers**" In the case of this device it was likely selected because it has a smaller form factor than a traditional SIM.

I bought one of these when they were $80 on Woot earlier this month. So far I love it. I'm coming from a Moto 360 and its a big improvement. The band is actually quite nice and comfortable.

Will this pair with a non-verizon phone?

when you pair with a phone, will it be able to display a text message's content as one comes in (I know it probably can give you notification but who needs that).

it has a GPS right? can you run google maps on it or at least run some kinds of apps that can give you directions like a compass? thanks

and does it come with some kind of screen protector? If not, I am going to have to order some since I got two for me niece and nephew
