To each their own. I refuse to pay more when official sony and xbox controllers are just as capable and can be found much cheaper. the switch barely gets usage as it is so I guess in my case that explains why I can wait. if it was my main system them I guess I'd have no choice as that grip with joy cons can't be ideal.

Thanks OP. I'll grab this tomorrow B&M. I grabbed 2 Pro controllers back in July same day I got my Switch for $65 from Best Buy with a Price match. Was holding out for a killer deal to buy the last one, but I need one ASAP now for our family trip. Looking forward to a weekend of Bomber-man and Overcooked action with everyone.

Eh may as well. Christmas present to me. Partner's employee discount makes this pretty good. Probably should have just bitten on that rakuten deal before. Mistakes were made.

Expensive for you, maybe. I bought two of these at retail on launch day and never looked back. By far my favorite controller in terms of battery life, long term play comfort-ability, and quality of build. I have an Xbone, PS4, Nvidia Shield and this controller and this one feels the best. IMO, but price is worth what people are willing to pay as they say.

Another way of putting the value you are getting out of the controller is the actual materials they used for it. It is much better than the PS4 controller for sure. arguable with the X Box One controller. The battery capacity is beyond the PS4 controller for sure. You get 40 hours out of these pro controllers while the PS4 is really much shorter than that. I think the Xbox one controller doesn't even come with a rechargable battery?

Some valid points. True, xbox controller is not rechargeable which has been a gripe I've over looked for years because they are 1. My preferred controller. 2. Can be found 30-40 on the right sale. I too wouldn't pay msrp for one of those but battery packs work well.

This is a good price on this controller as it doesn't go on sale much. I just hate the usual nintendo overprice everything cash grab.

I would love to see it in the 40ish range. I'll get it one day but I bought the old Wii u pro controller near launch and then was burned by the lack of games that even supported it

To be fair, most games support this controller. It actually has all the same bells and whistles as the joycons on the inside, minus being able to separate it, obviously. HD rumble, nfc, and motion are all there.
