NOTE: This is Region Free. BUT PLANET EARTH II are 1080i/ 50HZ encode which will not play on many US players -- most importantly since this seems to be the brand the majority of people have -- no Sony standalones can handle 50Hz, PS3 can't, PS4 can. Xbox will, most LG/Samsung/Oppo will. Panasonics are hit or miss.

Make sure you use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. If you have a card like that, check out in pounds and not dollars. If you let Amazon do the conversion to dollars for you, the charge will be slightly higher than letting your foreign-transaction-free cc do the conversion.

Planet Earth I is the 2007 set with no bonus Diaries and missing a lot of the extra material the 2011 SE added. It does have Disc 5 with 2 episodes of NATURAL WORLD included -- Desert Lions is pretty good, Snow Leopards is excellent.

The first 4 discs are normal 1080p/24 just like the US set so play fine in the US
The Bonus disc is 1080i/60 which also plays in the the US without an issue.
Some of the UK reviews continue to say the first 4 discs are 1080i when they are not.

Actually the discs are well worth it, but it only helps if you are capable

If you list your player model/Manufacturer I can give a pretty strong probability of being able to play it.
This used to be the go-to thread, but the OP is pretty out of date. There is some information about other models in the thread itself you could use a search to find

Some players (I find this typically is shorthand for my player) is not equivalent to Most players

Most nonSony players do fine. Even the PS4 is fine.
Almost all PCBD players are fine, Most $40-50 LG, Samsing, Seiki are fine,
Most newer Panasonics are fine. . XBox is fine

I'm guessing lots of people on SD have region free players.
SONY is the is main culprit.

Why post a deal for Apple deals when most people don';t have an APPLE?
Why post a deal for Nintendo games when it won;t play on Most players in the US (PS4 or Xbox)
