For those that only get fuel from Shell whenever T-Mobile Tuesdays has the 25 cents promo going on, your 3 months qualification period to maintain the Gold Status [fuelrewards.com] additional discount is ending Dec 31, 2017 if you did not obtain fuel at least 6 times from October until Dec 31...since October, T-Mobile has only offered Fuel Rewards 3x.

Visit https://www.fuelrewards.com/chasefreedom & log into your acct to extend your account's Gold Status until Dec 31, 2018

This isn't a credit card, it's a separate discount from any cash back/credit card rewards so they stack. So for example...if price at the pump is $2.30, when you put in your fuel rewards card (or alt ID) it drops the price to $2.25. Then put in your credit card (or gift card, etc) and you're charged based on the $2.25 rate.

My local Shell also gives a 5c/gal discount for using a gift card, so I loaded up on Shell gift cards from the Best Buy Chase Pay deal (plus Sapphire Reserve so works out to 15% back).. so:

$2.30/gal
- 5c/gal fuel rewards
- 5c/gal for using a shell GC
= $2.20/gal

then use GCs purchased at a 15% discount = $1.87/gal

The 5 cents saving is not worth going to Shell, I only go when it's at least 25 cents off.

OMG thank you...I was wondering how I was going to get in extra fill ups as I usually only get Shell during T-Mobile promos. It also doesn't seem to matter if you have a Chase card or not because as soon as I logged in, it said my Gold status was extended. Repped!

Worked for me. No verification needed that you actually have the Chase card.

New to Fuel Rewards...do you guys order a FR card or link Credit/Debit cards to your account or just use the ALT ID phone number while fueling? What's recommended. Thanks

I linked credit cards and use alt ID at the pump. Just tap rewards, then alt ID, then phone # for the roll back.

If I already filled up 6 times, how long is the Gold Status extended for? I didn't see that information at the Fuel Rewards website. Are you supposed to do 6 fill-ups each quarter?

How does it check if you're truly a CF customer, looks like it just "extends" it but I don't know if it actually worked.

I did 6 full ups on one account and gold extended until end off March. So 6 fill ups get you gold status for next quarter . I have 3 more fill ups to go on second account.

5¢/gal comes out to 1.6% cashback assuming $3/gal gas, discovercard has 5% cashback for Jan-mar 2018 which comes out to 15¢/gal cashback

I had no problem meeting the requirements since the local Shell station is the cheapest around, even before the extra 5c off, but signed up anyway. Surprised there is no validation.
