Decent deal if you need something right now. However this unit has been $499 in previous deals. Scored one at this price last year. Has also been $499 during 2017 as well.

Not the lowest price seen on these, but with the 8% ebay bucks back if you buy through the ebay app, it comes out to just under $600. I picked one up. I missed the great $500 deal on these, but we really been needing one for a while.

What's the difference between this durostar and the previously on sale duromax 10k watt?

edit: I picked one up too. hopefully it's somewhat reliable. I haven't read many bad things about them at all. but at half price basically it seems almost too good to be true.

$150...seriously. They are both Chinese engines with similar reliability. If you want better quality at this wattage level, you are easily looking at a $2-4k price range.

Thanks for the info. Gonna wait and hope to see $500 price again someday.

I got one last fall at $499. Don't use it much, but it does work well. I honestly hope I never really need it, but I'll keep starting it every few months just in case.

I only ran Propane through it so far, but like that I can go to gas if necessary.

I bought one last month for $499. It came damaged and I had to send it back. They did pay return shipping but it was a royal pain getting it packed back in the box and shipped back. Decided on a refund instead of replacement. I don't want to take a chance on having to do that again in cold weather.

Agree with others. Not a good price but the generator is decent. I've had for about a year and it runs great. I only use propane to keep the carb clean.

At this point, even the Generacs (which used to be the benchmarks of the generator industry) are made with Chinese engines so unless you're spending $3k+, it's all the same.

I bought this at this price about eight months ago prior to the start of hurricane season and thankfully I've never had need of it yet. However, I do start it once a month and run it on propane and it fires right up every time and runs under a light load with no problems.

Good price even at this price. Paid $484.99 last month with SD and eBay $15 code and it is a nice generator. Simple to assemble wheel kit and handles. Low oil warning , electric start, and powerful enough for my entire house as I have a gas water heater, furnace, and stove. I see it twice a year go to $499.99 but probably won't see that again til summer.
