It's not a new phone op, shows certified pre owned. FP cdma phones use sprint network i am guessing? Are these phones unlocked for use on Verizon?

Fixed title to cover certified pre-owned. Not sure if it is CDMA. It doesn't say anywhere. I think it is but I see that they do sell a GSM one.

You can't use a Sprint S5 on Verizon. Besides most older Sprint devices won't have the band support you want. If you go back a bit further, the S3 doesn't even have a user accessible SIM Slot.

FreedomPop has always been a Sprint MVNO. It was only last year they started selling the Global SIM and last December they started selling the AT&T LTE SIM. Any devices that are GSM come bundled with the SIM and are labelled GSM. Any device labelled CDMA or with no label will be a Sprint device.

Freedompop seems to be phasing out their cheaper GSM phones as I can no longer find the GSM version of the Samsung Galaxy S5. It seems to be CDMA only.

more likely they're sold out because of the sale price, not phasing out.

I would be more likely to buy from Freedompop if I didn't have such trouble getting the last phone I bought from them unlocked (it's still locked to them after more than 6 months, but they claim to have unlocked it twice.) Buyer beware.

PM sent. I'll edit my posts if my issue ends up actually being resolved this time.

Hi Freedompop, I recently upgraded my plan from free to 4gb for the holiday season and now I changed it back to free plan. However, I was asked to pop-up $10 when I downgraded. Could I request to get my money back? Is it the new rule that we have to spend $10 to downgrade now?
Thanks.

When freedompop says they will "unlock" they do not mean SIM unlocked so you can use the GSM bands on the phone with a GSM SIM. Unlocked to FPOP means they have removed the association of the phone to them in the Sprint database so you can move to Sprint itself or another Sprint MNVO. The phone is GSM sim locked and Sprint is unwilling to do a GSM sim unlock unless you are their customer (paying sprint for service).
