I can't seem to install these to my Shield from the Google Play website. It only lists my Galaxy S7 and an Asus tablet I own.

Anyone else having a similar issue? Afraid to buy some and not be able to install them. I have the original Shield.

Some games are for the Shield console only. At the moment I'm not sure which ones. What games did you have trouble with?

I'm the type of person to buy a large number of the $0.99 games and hope for the best. The ones that I listed are the games I will most likely buy. Death Road to Canada is 90% off at $0.99. That said, I highly recommend the Jack Box Party packs, which are going for something in the range of $10-$13. I also see that the Metal Gear games are supposed to be on sale but the price hasn't been reduced yet. Those would be pretty solid games.LMAO

I looked under devices and it isn't even listing my shield, so I think it might be Google having issues. Actually, more than half my devices are missing.

Which games are you interested in? I'll tell you if they are compatible with my Shield tablet.

Double Dragon Trilogy and Ys Chronicles 1 and 2. I'd say MGS3 as well, but I doubt that will work on such old hardware.

Thanks for the help by the way.

These games are a great example of what's compatible and what's not. Double Dragon and Ys are compatible with the tablet. MGS3 is a console only game. The android Metal Gears and HD enhanced editions, so they're more demanding. Games that you could play on a gameboy, such as Ys and Double Dragon, usually will be compatible with a tablet.

What I figured. I have seen simple games that weren't compatible though so there's always a risk. I want to say Elder Sign was one that was very hit or miss, even though it is very simple and not even a realtime game.

I had a Dell tablet that had horrible compatibility issues with many common apps. I think it had to do with some strange audio chip they used, but don't quote me.
