Why would anyone need this many? Heavy duty batteries aren't good for much other than small clocks or remote controls.

Bad reviews on Amazon [amazon.com]. 39% are one star.

$0.12 a battery is pretty cheap, but read the answers and the reviews and you'll understand you would NEED this many......they are junk!

I did not like how long they lasted. I was changing batteries more then for getting the REAL thing. I could NOT recommend this item. Spend a bit more and get the real deal or if they even are the life of their batteries is NOT GOOD.

Yes they are alkaline, but the batteries are not very good. They last about 1 10th the time you would expect.

Batteries lasted about 2 days JUNK

I usually stock up on cheap Rayovac during the BF deals - was 36 for $6 (AA or AAA) at Lowe's, or $10 for 54 at HD (30 AA and 24 AAA). Since the 54 is a unique bundle pack, some HD will still have them around at that price.

Between the remotes, flashlights, video game controllers, and other toys, I probably go through 100 batteries a year, so 3 packs of each from Lowe's will get me through.

These aren't alkaline batteries though...Heavy Duty batteries are Carbon Zinc and they are only good for low power devices.

Understood.....and I think I've actually seen these batteries packaged with remotes.....or possibly some quadcopters I purchased from China.

Good for the seller for not mentioning this - "Universal application"

Good for Amazon for listing only alkaline in the "Compare to similar items" section. Amazon actually lists these as alkaline.

Other sites provide more information:

Regardless, from what I've seen, this appears to be a good price if these suit your requirements.
