Hmmm, I brought this TV more than 30 days ago. Do you think BB will allow pricematching?

If not, credit card price protection

Nah, I already did that because this is the doorbuster BF TV. I was thinking of doubledipping to and maybe get the difference in an GC or something.

I just got off the phone with BB. Paid $400, will get a $50 difference to my card.

Nice, I called BB also and they gave me a 50 credit too even though I am not an elite member. They granted me this "one time exception." I got the $220 check earlier this week and I hope Discover won't complain about the PM.

For everyone who is getting the one time exception from Best Buy online customer service. You can price match this tv that you bought for the black friday deal (credit card price match). and continue to price match in the store through January 14th. There is no limit how many times you can do this. Don't let online customer service tell you any different!

I'm still waiting for a confirmation email as they sent it to the "back office" for processing. Have you gotten anything?

Bought the Costco TCL 43" Roku TV several months ago.

Fantastic TV! Look at TCL, too. Not familiar with this Sharp TV, but I highly recommend the built-in Roku.

Btw, I'm a cord-cutter, so I have no cable box and this is definitely where these Roku TVs really excel!

This is Costco's 49" TCL for $340 (didn't compare all specs,, but resolution looks the same and you cannot beat Costco's warranty):

They didn't say anything about emails. They said that I would get a credit back in my discover statement.

Just to make sure that I understand correctly. I can buy this TV today at $350 and price match to the black friday ad scan of $179, and my credit card would credit the difference to my account? Anyone has an image of the Best Buy Ad Scan with the sku number listed on it?

I think you have to buy the TV first and see the lower price, then you can PM, not the other way around.

Yes, that is my general understanding of PM, hence my request for clarification.

That means that what you are asking can't be done. Last month lots of people brought this TV at $400 and then later at $500 knowing that it will can be PM'ed against the BF ad. Most people use discover but some people reported that it worked for Citibank also. The difference was paid by the credit card company. This double dipping PM is being paid by Bestbuy.

Correct. Those of us lucky to buy in that week before BF when they raised the price to $499 got the Discover PM down to $179 and now can be double dipping at Best Buy between the original price and the current.

You CANNOT buy now and price match via anywhere (Discover, BestBuy) to the Black Friday price of $179 now. Unless you have a Delorean time machine. In which case I would suggest that there are far more lucrative ways to make money than worrying about price matching a TV. Like go back a few years and buy Bitcoin and then come back to present and sell it....
