Sirius XM 12 Month Deal-Select Service $68

Usually, you have to call every 6 months to get a good Sirius rate. I just called to do the usual negotiation and they offered me 12 months for $60 plus tax and fees =$68. The csr claimed it was an end of the year special. I see they actually have it front page on their web site. You may be able to switch by just doing it in your online account.

Nice to lock it in for 12 months. 1-888-601-6302

Thanks OP. If I login to my account I see the 6 month deal but if I click though the 12 month offer on OP link I can get it. I have new car trial that recently expired. Someone mentioned in another SD thread about getting best price on Select plus streaming included free by going through online offer then cancelling before final submit. Or maybe I misunderstood but I want that if anyone knows how.

My six month Select pkg (six months at $5/month) is due to expire in a couple of weeks. I called and asked for this deal. They won't sell it to me unless I use a CC (I never do, having played the game every 5-6 months for years, paying by check and having $2 invoice fee waived). They finally offered me an even lower per month rate as $20 for five months, ok to pay by check, but won't sell me $60 per year. I played the "I'll just cancel and use Pandora/Spotify" (not ture) if I can't get the $60/yr. No go.

Time for HUCA.

Some credit cards (Citibank on some cards, for example), let you generate a temporary credit card number. I do that every time I do a SiriusXM signup. So when your subscription expires, they can't charge you for the month-to-month renewal. So they just cancel you, and start sending you deals in the mail again.

And NEVER give them a good phone number. They'll call every day.

Between these two things, I've never had to talk to SirusXM in the last five years. And I sign up in time for the long drives to the ski slopes. This was the first year I locked in for the 12 months @ $60.

Well, after HUCA, second rep again told me it's a no-go on a full year $60 unless I use a CC. So, I went with 5 months Select for $20 (was offered $25 but I knew to negotiate to $20 which rep agreed to) plus taxes/fees but waiving $2 paper invoicing fee (again, I had to ask).

So, an even better deal than OP posted based on unit cost, but not as good based on inconvenience of having to call back (I place more weighting on the latter, but it wasn't offered, so...).

Of course, one could say I chose "having to call again to renew at promo rates in 5-6 months" over "spending time to set up a temporary CC"... which I did. It's just easier (for me) to call (since I know the script) and get a Select pricing promo every 5-6 months and mailing a check than it is to for the first time go create a temporary CC... but that's just me. I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't know, I'm old school and still use that thing we used to use... ah... voicemail.

Doesn't appear to be available to add on to an existing sub (5 months @ $25 or whatever they give ya) unless I'm missing something?

I hate that you don't get the NFL Channel 88 with this package. It was cheaper to add the streaming service to my other car for $5 per month.

Correct, can't "add it on" but instead you have to "cancel" old, receive credit for unused and apply to new. Thus, you get the $60 (or like me some other equally good), expiring based on starting today as opposed to your old end date.

Not sure what you mean, I get every channel on my device, always have and have always had Select for years at least. NFL Channel is one of my top three non-music channel choices, in regular rotation.

Thanks OP! I only had the basic package which worked out to a bit over $100/year with all fees and taxes. More channels, less $.

The Select package is $60/year + $12.44 in fees and taxes, which may vary by your state. $72.44 as one payment for me.

Trying to change over using chat failed, the rep could not or would not do it. I called to cancel and the phone rep gave me the deal.

With Select you don't get channel 88.

So I just called they let me switch over without cancelling. (But really in the background that's what they probably did) they put the remaining balance on my current account toward the 60 bucks so I only had to pay 40

I've had Select for years and I always have Ch. 88, listen to it regularly.
