I've had this modem for a year, and it works perfectly and I get speeds higher than I am paying.

1500+ reviews 8/10 of them are 4/5 stars.

I am not sure how someone would get speeds higher than they pay for. I mean if its a 25mbps plan, you cant get 30mbps Stick Out Tongue It was great while it worked, but when frequent reboots. Guess i was unlucky

I pay for 75MBPS and get up to 90MBPS. When I first got the modem I was paying for 10Meg and only getting 8, and after I bought the modem, starting getting 12Meg.(It's in my Amazon.review from last year) It's bonding multiple channels, so I'm not sure, how you are not sure how this could happen.... As get older, you will realize that any electronic is subject to failure, regardless of the maker, which is why this has a 2 year warranty. When you read 1500+ reviews and 8/10 of them are 4/5 stars that means you probably got a bad one and should get it replaced. :-) Also, heat rises, and you will notice the vents are on the sides of this modem. I actually place this modem on it's side mounted between the wall and desk. It allows the heat to dissipate. See photo below.

The replacement was also like that. So I just returned and will probably go with something expensive or shift to Verizon soon.

Also...not sure if you already knew this but channel bonding wont increase your speeds but will give you consistent performance. Like no speed drops during congestion hours (evenings). DSLReports has a lot of articles talking about the Intel's Puma chipsets used in modems which causes a lot of issues links hangs etc.

I don't go by articles, I go by real life experience. I changed modems and my 10 Meg plan went to 12 meg, and now I have 75 meg and get 90 meg. Had the modem since April of 2016 never had a problem like the thousand other people on Amazon. Maybe you are just a real unlucky person! :-)

Whatever tool i been doing this stuff since the 80's when you're parents was making you. You are a Rock all you do is sit on the pc or mobile and pretending to me so smart when you have no clue. I suggest not listening to youtubers videos as facts. I suggest going out more you're social skills are so lacking. Next time maybe try to learn something before you make a fool out of yourself. I know most people around you're age thinks like you. This is why Trump is are President cause he is a cool Meme.... Now transform and roll outside to play in the real world.
