Why the thumbs down? This is usually about $570. I think the lowest was $460 3-4 months ago

I have this machine. It's fantastic. Dumped keurig for this. I traded in 10 junk laptops awhile back during the Best Buy promo and ended up paying less than $100 for mine.

ive used mine every day, several times (and often upwards a half dozen times a day)..for the last few years, and it's still going strong! I dont even use a water filter--so there are zero "consumables". I just use a couple of the cleaning tablets and let the machine do it's thing whenever it tells me to, but otherwise it's maintenance free, and makes great espresso! (I use filtered water, so I figure why filter twice)

You can buy third party water filters that are cheaper than the outrageously priced ones sold by Breville, but putting filtered water in just seems like the way to go, especially if you are already filtering your drinking water.

Amazon price is back up to $574.95 now, so seems to be expired.
