I purchased this drive via jet.com a while back and it was fulfilled by Platinum Micro. The drive I received was a non-USA version. I tried to register it on Samsung.com, but it kept coming up as invalid. Not sure if warranty will be honored if there's a problem. Anyhow, I returned it just in case.

It's an ok deal for current market prices and is the regulae price from a year ago before the price fixing. These will lower in price across the board in march

Unfortunately, FRYs charges tax which made the item $130, and the store has to be nearby in order to deliver. Non in my area.

This seal on ebay by seller PLATINUM MICRO is best ive seen, but googling reviews on official PLatonum micro shop were bad. Eh Frown

Why march???
Retailers are Towing it to the line with the retail price until the end of the holiday sale season. Laptop retailers, such as now though, have no problem having competitive prices for the laptops and have SSD as part of what they're selling. Next quarter will need a boost in sales as apparently the price is elastic -- as we the consumer have responded to the higher prices. March is the end of next quarter
