11 thumbs up, no comments? Hmm
I'm assuming it's free cancellations like most hotels?

I hear the hotels are awesome there, but if your expecting exceptional quick service for the price your paying, dont! Everything is on island time, so for things to happen and get done it goes very slowly if you need help from the staff or even placing orders in the restaurants, to getting your food. That was a review from 5 people I know who went there this year.

That being said I dont go on many vacations and pretty sure I need one next year so this sounds like something I will do since I dont mind island time. It was either this or Rivera Maya so I can explore some history.

Thanks for the heads up!

Since they're Autograph Collection, do you get Marriott points with this promotion? Or only if you book at marriott.com?

All food in the Bahamas is. We decided to eat out on two separate occasions and found most prices were not cheaper off the resort... then you had to pay for taxis. The second time we went we went off resort once as there was a new restaraunt that opened but it was twice as much as the resort, which we expected. Red Robin is across the street from the place but is packed with grease Smilie

We have been there twice with the kids. The first time we broke the bank eating at the resort, but we learned the second time how to save money. Look at tripadvisor for helpful hints. The food is very very expensive.

Taxi Service will take you to grocery store from airport. Bought lots of water, PBJ,Breakfast food, etc. We would pack water, lunch, snacks and eat a good meal. We got Pizza delivered one night and Chinese delivered another night which was pretty inexpensive. You can walk down to the area below the comfort inn and find decent prices on meals. We actually got the meal plan for part of our trip for a discount and it was nice.

The rooms are so/so and fire alarms went off at night both times we were at Atlantis, but the grounds and facilities are outstanding. The slides, beach, and pools are unbelievable. We have been to Punta Cana, Jamaica, and Cancun cheaper, but for teens and kids Atlantis was heads and tails above those resorts.

Comfort inn is right below the resort and gives you same privileges on the resort, but is cheaper and also offers breakfast.

Is the $300 daily credit not good toward food, I thought this type of place would be an all inclusive type for the money. I guess Rivera Maya might be the winner after all.

We walked to the resort from a cruise ship and snuck in. A plastic bag of a handful of grapes at the little hut by the pool was $5-7. And that was over 5 years ago.

Talk to your travel agent and you'll see this isn't too slick unless these are some ultra 5 star places

Took the family to Atlantis last summer and loved it. Like others have said, the food there is ridiculous. Breakfast buffet for 4 was ~$200/day in the royal tower. We planned ahead and bought the meal plan. I would highly recommend the meal plan if you're going to stay on property. Dinner at one of the restaurants on property was easily 300 to 400 for the four of us. But since we were on the Dining Plan we didn't have to pay that much. Lunch by the pool wasnt that bad....about $15-$20/person but its just fast food. Outside of the food pricing the rest of the resort is amazing. Easily the best aquarium experience we've ever seen. Excursions are insanely expensive per person so we skipped those.
