Figured this was a good deal since the Target deal was front page and not everyone has a red card.

10.5" 64gb iPad Pro $499.99 [microcenter.com]. In store only. Can buy online for in store pickup.

I have an iPad Air 2 that I really like and it works great for my use (not really games/movies, but study/reading/notes/library/writing/typing). How much better would an iPad Pro like this be for me? I know about the pen, but I'm not 100% sure I'd use a pen a lot. Thanks for any comments.

It's faster and the screen is slightly larger. Depends on whether you need the pencil ($100) it may not be such a big upgrade for you.

p.s. the pencil is great I use it at work almost everyday to write and draw. Maybe you should go to an Apple store to test it out yourself.

I have a iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 9.7".
Work gave me a surface pro device with a pen.

I use my personal iPad Pro to go to meetings and take notes with the Apple stylus. It's fantastic compared to the pen with the surface pro device.
You can charge it right from the device which is huge.
I ran out of pen battery on the surface in a important meeting and had to record the whole meeting via the video camera awkwardly since I had no easy way to take notes. Keyboard noise was annoying my co worker next to me.

My iPad Air 2 went to my mom.
I say the Apple stylus is a big advantage. With One Note it's a great combo!

Thanks for the comments. I had a Surface Pro 4 too and the pen worked well some time, but it was too glitch and not reliable or fast enough. I suppose at some point I'll upgrade from an Air 2 to a Pro. Thanks again!

Like the opposite of your saying.
Everyone can have a red card for free with NO credit check, so that's a sweet deal.
This is not really a sweet deal because half the states don't have MC around.

How is everyone price matching through Target?
I tried using the online chat and was told they don't price match MC. They send a link to a pdf with an "Online Competitor List" where MC is not on it.

Tried BestBuy online chat for price match and the agent said I cannot price match because there is no store within 25 miles of my zip code. Sigh... He also said if the item is in-store only, they will go with the policy for 25 miles. No luck today.

Edit. Reason: price match with BestBuy worked with another try)

Got it for the second time(disconnected due to network issue) and third time. It was just a bad luck for the first time, if anybody encounter such situation just give another try. I am finally able to make it to 499 before tax plus 25 Amex offer credit, make my final price around $518.
