Not sure how many are familiar with PlayOn, but this item works with the PlayOn platform to allow you to download movies and shows to an external drive, then you can connect to it for free on up to 4 devices while using a tablet or computer on a road trip. See below for Walmart stores that may carry near you. If anyone has tried it let me know, because I just saw a post about it and plan to grab this at my local store tomorrow.

Every Walmart near me has 10+ in stock. Anyone have experience with it to know if it's worth having?

How is this different than simply using your hotspot on your phone for kids to watch movies from your Amazon library on the go on their tablets?

So this is a data storage device and you buy and store stuff and then watch or listen in car? Useless as you can store same stuff on phone or tablet or laptop.. No?

No hotspot needed... no data required. It would be downloaded before the trip. So for unlimited data phone users this will not be quite as important to your point.

PlayOn's online platform. Netflix and many other providers are on there

I'm at Walmart right now holding one in my hand. So if I'm not mistaken you would connect I guess a large micro SD card to this thing and download a bunch of stuff from let's say Showbox or popcorn time and then drag and drop it over to the device while it's connected to your computer I guess? And then bring it over to your car and plug it in for the trip?

So basically it's a portable, loadable streaming device. Up to 4 devices.

Anyone tried these yet? They dropped to $15 at my local Wally World. Not finding any real reviews online.

Will keep an eye on it. Still $35

So, you do get ESPN, CNN, etc for free right? Or not?

So it does what all these pocket routers can do, but with PlayOn integration? These (albeit without the PlayOn stuff) for as low as $10 from warehouse deals...

How is getting those live cable channels possible on a device that'll work offline to stream content locally stored within a local WiFi network (probably need to be connected to ssid by this device)? Okay, having just read what I said for the later part I know why this device is not selling.... most people don't get it 😂🤣
