Quick categories missing in hot deals forum

If you scroll down to quick categories filter at the end of the page, it's missing categories such as Computers and a bunch of others. The categories seem to be working on the other forums.

It has been this way for 24 hrs+.
Makes it hard to use this site without categories, especially on some of the biggest shopping periods of the year. Hope you get this fixed soon- I'm sure traffic to the site is way down

Get rid of Quick Category Filters and bring back the WHOLE list.
Thank you!

Hi. Just a quick heads-up. Looks like the category filter on the bottom right of the Hot Deals forum (classic view I think?) has been broken for a couple days. Presently it's only showing filters for "Arts & Crafts", "Deal Type", "Spring Break" and "Video Games"

Edit: Gah. I swear I scanned the topics and didn't see it posted yet. Sorry.

Anyway, I've noticed another oddity today: sometimes an item will show up in the unfiltered Hot Deals forum view but when you click on the category next to the topic (because the aforementioned filters at the bottom are missing), that item doesn't show up in the filtered category which makes me wonder if there are other posts that are missing from the filter views.

For example, presently there's an entry on the unfiltered H-D forum view for an LED projector. It's category is "Electronics" and its last post was at 4:01pm today. Click on "Electronics" to show just that category and this projector post does not show up.

I too, wrote in and here is my exchange,

" Is your issue by chance the same as or related to this? https://slickdeals.net/f/11088339-quick-categories-missing-in-hot-deals-forum?v=1&p=110147431#post110147431"

Yessssss!!!

For the past seven years I see I'm not the only one who found the whole list on the bottom left off the page useful!

No disrespect, but oftentimes when changes are made that takes away a useful feature it does not have a useful affect! eBay is a prime example .

Please restore the full list back to its home on the bottom left of the page.

Thanks

Its much much easier to skim through a category at a time, faster too.

I can skim through 5-6 categories individually usually only needing one page for each, rather than having to go through 20 pages of _-___ I'm not interested in at the moment.

And this reply,

"Hi gqmagic,

Thanks for following up and confirming the issue. The best thing I can suggest to do at this point is add your own experiences and thoughts to that thread in the SIS forum. It's been brought up with the devs but I don't know what, if any, action will be taken or how soon (which of course is complicated by the timing of this coming up in the middle of the holidays). I'll make sure to mention it to them again"
