I got this last week on best buy on open box and this thing has been great so far. Very powerful thing for such a small speaker. I connected all my devices (FireTV & BR player) through HDMI to my TV. I then used the provided optical cable to connect from TV to the Polk Mini.

The sound is great on what I've tested so far with the 3 sound modes (movie, music and sports)
Bluetooth connectivity is amazing too, connects to my phones almost instantly and to me the sound is surprisingly great. Usually never been a bluetooth fan.

No complaints so far, love how there are 3 separate volume controls, one master and one for bass and another one for voice. All have worked as advertised.

I tested out the Muse Rome bluray and it really sounded amazing. Keep in mind this is most likely ideal for a smallish room which I have in my bedroom.

Love the night mode as well, reduces all those harsh boomy sudden noises and focuses on voice. So all in all I'm very happy with it so far. Still have to test out more movies and audio blurays with different sound format presentations in the coming days.

I just basically want something to jam with to music on Bluetooth. I'm debating on a Sonos One or this. The Sonos one does have Alexa which is nice. I don't think either is going to have super low bass but I want some thump. The thought of building out a Sonos home theater over the years peaks my interest. Though I know can get pricey. I have you young kids so I can't rock out on a regular basis but love great sound.

I have a Hisense H8C which is plenty loud. It never goes above 10 and it goes all the way to 100 so not looking for tv speaker "enhancers"

I also realize the Sonos One and this are totally different as well. Ones a great sounding smart speaker and the other a mini sound bar. Just trying to get best sound for my bucks.

The struggle is real. Haha.
