I bought the King size of this mattress about 6 months ago. The week prior to buying we had visited one of the few bona fide Tempurpedic stores, and were very impressed with their mattresses...but not so impressed with their $5K+++ prices. For $236 (including tax) we thought "give it a try, why not...worth a gamble". So far, I can honestly state this is the best mattress we've owned, and we've owned about 8 high end mattresses. Gotta love competition and capitalism.

I've been following this mattress for the last 2 weeks. The price has been the same this time.

I bought this during black friday sale; i dont think its medium hard - maybe a tad softer than medium. Also, this one smells a LOT! We literally had to keep our bedroom windows open for 5 days (during winter) to ventilate; had to pour vinegar, soda, perfumes etc; and this was all after we kept it open for 7 days in another room. Even after all this, a bit of smell is still there. Also, this is made up of layer of foam with only top 2/3 inches of memory foam. I know price is low and maybe thats what one gets in this kind of price(?!)

It's 3" of memory foam. I have this and it's great. It's plenty firm under the top layer (s), you just have to adapt to memory foam type mattress.

I have this. Note that this mattress will not "inflate" true to size. Let's say you bought a 10", it will expand to about 8-9", so if you want 10", buy a 12"

I haven't tried a memory foam mattress. But the main issue for my mother would be hearing about the heat trap that would create night sweats. Feedback?

I bought one last week and we are 5 nights in... it is pretty comfortable but does smell bad. Hard to describe the smell; not exactly like mold but not unlike it either. The smell stays on my body even with a mattress pad too. Hoping it goes away with time but pretty disappointed so far.

Yeah that happens sometimes. Worse for heavy people probably.
