It's currently free on Amazon Prime video.

Amazing series though. All the art and set pieces were hand made by Italian craftsmen. I wish they had continued it past season 2, but it was obviously a very expensive show.

Only two seasons and then they cancelled it. It is a great show, not sure why they cancelled it

There was a fire and most of the sets were destroyed or badly damaged. It wasn't the only reason but it contributed.

wait for 4k?

hahahaha... uhd 4k does have the 4:2:0 chroma, so, if 4:4:4 chroma from the 2k DI is upsampled to 4:2:0 on 4k,

Then it's still technically better than the 1080p Bluray format.

I will just say this: I don't watch TV, I don't watch any TV series and I bought this at a garage sale just because I like history. Watched the first episode of series 1 and I was hooked. Excellent, I watched both seasons.

I didn't know there was a fire on the set.

Both hubby and I enjoyed the show. Very unfortunate it ended after 2 seasons.
