Google Pixel 2 XL Phone: $75 off + free Google Home Mini

+15 Deal Score
22,385 Views
Google now running a promotion on the Google Pixel 2 phones through the Google Store.

Buy a Pixel 2, get $50 off + a code for a free Google Home Mini
Buy a Pixel 2 XL, get $75 off + a code for a free Google Home Mini

So that's $599 + a free Home Mini for a Pixel 2 and $774 + a free home Mini for a Pixel 2 XL

Pretty solid deal. I know they did the black friday deal for $100 credit to the store + the home mini, but this may appeal more to people who would rather have the $75 off immediately than a credit for a future purchase.

Looks like the deal is valid through December 31st 2017.

The trade in value for my Pixel XL 32GB dropped to $375 when this offer started. It was a $20 drop.

Isn't this news at least a week old? And the 2 XL starts at $774 I believe.

Nope. I have been checking for a while. Starting at midnight last night was the first time the Google home mini showed up again.

Nice, but still too high. Wish they would start discounting for real.

Probably as good as it's going to get until the next pixel comes out. These phones don't drop much in value if history is any lesson.

It's funny how these minor price drops are intended to try to lure people in. Not flaming the post but the manufacturers in this case Google has don't nothing short of offer any real deal this year in terms of customer deal satisfaction. No wonder Huawei is smoking them presently.

I think Google will be alright. It would be really easy for them to slap together a phone with a medicore experience and sell it for $300. They have done it before. There are tons of phones in the mid range market and even a good chunk of flag ship spec phones in the $500 range. I think Google is trying to aim for something bigger with the pixel, I just feel like they haven't gotten there yet but will soon maybe in the next few iteriations. It even took Samsung a few tries to get the Galaxy line looking worthy of their price tags.

If they drop the price to $350 now, then the next pixel which comes out at $700 will be considered overpriced so maybe they are trying to avoid that.

I know, it's pretty funny. Usually companies just offer discounts so they can lose money, but here the bloodsuckers at Google are just trying to attract customers. It's bizarre!

Yup. Still too damn high for a pixel. Check Google charging Apple prices now. No more bargain Nexus phones.

Instead of trying to bundle it with a Home Mini, just lower the price another $30.
