Eh, I think I'm going to pass on all of these cables and fans. I already have 14 rebates that have not been approved yet (i.e. they received them, but have yet to approve them) and it has been about 2 weeks since 4MyRebate received them.

Until 4MyRebate changes the status of the rebates to "approved", I'm going to avoid rebates unless it is something really good and not cables & fans.

4MyRebate does not approve rebates after they are received for several weeks now. It is their new protocol, meant to delay the payout to the full 8 to 10 weeks. No longer are rebates being approved shortly after they are received except in rare cases (i.e. some Refurbished Items like Krazilla).

1) Within 1 to 2 weeks of the initial mailing date, they scan your documentation.
2) Within 2 to 3 weeks after documentation is scanned, they approve/deny your rebate.
3) ~6 Weeks after approval, the rebate enters Payment Processing state. From here, it's usually about 7 to 10 days before the Mastercard reaches your door.

I had rebates received in the last week of November approved between 12/16/18 to 12/18/18. So, provided your rebates were scanned in the first week of December, you should be seeing approval sometime next week.

Side-Note: It appears that 4MyRebate has also turned off the automatic e-mails following rebate registration. Has anyone else experienced the same thing (that registered in the past 3 to 5 days)?

Thanks for the info. I miss the days when rebates are approved within 24 hours of being received. Also, I too have not had the automatic emails that follows rebate registration. Even getting the rebate forms emailed can be spotty.

I liked the automatic emails following registration and I too have experienced the lack thereof when doing new registrations. I actually went to their site and got a list of my submissions just to be sure they had processed the registration before sending in the last batch

I think 4MyRebate is doing the emails still but only for other vendors they service - McAfee, ASUS, Rosewill definitely get those notifications but NewEgg doesn't. I bet it's a volume thing given how much volume NewEgg has pushed through of late.

Is it just me or is the 6ft display port to DVI cable 10.99 not 10. Rebate is only 10 so this is NOT FAR!

NVM starts at 12AM Pacific, not EST.....I'll try tomorrow if its still in stock

Need to take a break so one of you lucky ones can have my share. Just spent an hour or maybe two today doing the giant 20+ products rebate from early December. It was painful even for a rebate whore like me.

Rebates = short (long) term 0% interest loan. Go ask your bank for oneSmilie. Oldegg is 1 of the worst. Still waiting 2 months. Full sales tax, wait till they feel like paying you. No show, call, email etc.... pay amazon a couple more dollars and forget about it!

I too am dissatisfied with the NewEgg.com rebate processor, 4MyRebate. It would be good to be able to communicate this information to NewEgg.com to whomever handles the rebate processor selection decisions (I do not know who).

The 4MyRebate rebates take a long time to complete, relative to other rebate processors, are slow to be delivered (typically being delivered later than the amount of time established in the terms), and are difficult to differentiate between (for example, two rebates cards received, each for $10, are not traceable to the relevant rebate offer. There is not clear communication as to which rebate promotion is being paid and one is left guessing as to which one is being paid).

Also, the payment received have significant overhead; with payment cards requiring activation, with a slow activation process, and have the drawbacks that credit cards and debit cards typically have in United States (like fund holding for transactions that will not post).

NewEgg.com used to have less inferior or decent rebate processors, but unfortunately it is currently using 4MyRebate.
