I was never much of a coupon clipper for years, despite following Slickdeals. Flipp sort of changed all that for me. The reason being was that I didn't like to go through weekly ads and hunt for deals. It just wasn't worth my time. Instead, just do a search in the Flipp app for toothpaste or, more specifically, something like Colgate. It will show you deals from all stores in your area for that week and when the deals expire.

That was the game changer for me. It takes me seconds to see who's got the free toothpaste deal on a given week. It seems like most of the drug stores do it about once a month. This week, there isn't a free offer, but you just missed one at Rite Aid a couple of days ago, for example. Once I see one, I just swing by one of those places while I'm out getting groceries or running some other errand so I am not wasting gas money. Unless you have a very large family, you shouldn't ever have to buy toothpaste again doing this. If you're single, you could even donate some to homeless shelters, etc.

This doesn't involve anything complicated, like accumulating shopper points to get them down to effectively free or anything. Sometimes there is a coupon. Often, an electronic coupon or something that loads onto a card that is scanned at the register. And, sometimes you just "clip" it in the store's phone app or print something out at a kiosk located inside the store.

Somewhat off topic, but does anyone know how to use Alexa as a workaround to order Add-on items sold by Amazon Warehouse? I can only get her to recognize the full priced items.

I just use the Flipp app and get my endless supply of free toothpaste from CVS, Rite Aid, etc. Colgate Advanced Whitening is one of my favorites. The tubes are a little smaller, at 4 ounces, but it doesn't matter when it's free.
