Decent read, but frankly, Gaiman is like a decaffeinated Clive Barker.

I'm a huge Neil Gaiman fan. He's one of the few authors that can read their own works and still be entertaining. I will say, however, that American Gods is my least favorite Gaiman work.

American Gods is one of my faves, a must read for sure.

Thanks for pointing out "The Rise and Fall of DODO" was Stephenson. Don't like everything that he writes, but Seveneves was amazing, so will be giving this one a shot.

I️ loved the audiobook. They did do a great job on the series so far from the first two episodes I️ watched. It's amazing how they captured the scene where the the woman swallowed the man with her vagina

Stephenson is in big letters, but it is co-wrote with another author. I don't really think his style really shines through. I've read his earlier stuff, Cryptonomicon, and most recently Anathem. I'm about 40% through the audiobook version. Seveneves is definitely on my to-read/listen list though.
