I love Huawei phone (using mate 9 now) but what's so good about this laptop compared to surface pro or Mac air?

Because my original comment was a smart ass remark that didn't add any value to the discussion, and I changed my mind and removed it with an edit.

3:2 & beatiful display, and FANLESS (so silent) design. NVMe does not hurt either. Very premium look and feel.

with the QHD display (especially if it is IPS) and SSD and the 7th gen CPU this is not that bad. I think the price is more or less market for SD

This is not a slick deal at all. For $650 the specs should be much better.
This is a slick deal for 650. Compare it to the dell xps 13 last week. That was 799. find a laptop with same weight, size with 2k display and 12.5 mm thick. I will be more than happy to agree with you.

I think people who buy this slim ultrabook don't do it for the specs alone. They do it for the slim profile, the excellent construction, the add-ons such as the fingerprint scanner, the different aspect ratio and the overall "feel" of the device.

I believe it to be an slickdeal for THIS laptop's regular price. The MSRP is $1099.99

But your opinion matters and I respect that.

Price is right, but I wouldn't buy a dual-core ultrabook going into 2018. The performance gains between the 7th gen u-series and 8th gen is pretty massive.
