The only way you will get the best deal of out of Jiffy Lube by hand out to them less than $25.00 for your oil change otherwise they will rip you off big time with all kinds of unnecessary works and replacements.

Save $50 so that you can put that money toward fixing whatever they screw up on your car or try scamming you with.

I was going on a road trip, so I had just replaced my air filter (literally bought it at the auto store, swapped it, and stopped by Jiffy Lube for the oil change) and I decided to use them because they were down the road and the car wasn't worth enough for me to be picky about the oil change service. Well, these jackasses did something to my filter because they call me out with the airbox open and the air filter in hand and show me how dirty it was. Except, fun for them, the filter had less than a mile and 5 minutes on it, and I still had the freaking box and receipt with timestamp in the car. I pulled out the receipt, show them the empty box, and ask them why the hell they had ruined my brand new filter for their upsell. Ended up yelling at them and the manager, because they tried acting as though it had magically become filthy in a tiny amount of time (it looked like they poured used oil and threw leave in it). Finally ends with me waiting longer because they had to go back to Advance Auto to pick up a replacement filter over whatever crap they had in-stock. Good times.

Or, maybe you should look at the story where they literally cut a hole in a dude's underbody paneling because they were too lazy to remove it.

You'll need lube of another kind after one visit to them.

Good deal. But you'll need to get some hidden cameras to put them in and around your car before you drop it off.

I've never had a problem with them but I'm sure it varies by location. I always change my own air filters and they've never tried to sell me a new one. Just know what your maintenance schedules are and know how to say no if they try to sell you other services. You can usually get coupons on their website for cheap oil changes. Coupons plus this 25% off is a good deal.

Agree, have to be very careful with these places. One person I know went to one of these quick lube places don't remember which, and they forgot to put the oil cap back on

Horrible deal. A completely free service at this hell hole will cost you more money than taking your car to a reputable place. Either they will break stuff or not do the service they said they did.

Unfortunately, I can't go there anymore either after they failed my safety inspection for three things that shouldn't have failed. Took it to a different place for a second opinion, and they came from the bay laughing at the failures from Jiffy Lube. They also explained to me the reasons why it didn't fail each of those using their manual provided to them by the highway patrol. I had just bought the $35 off $50 gift card deal on ebay earlier in the week. Have to say that wasn't the greatest use of money.

If you ever plan to change yourself, NEVER take to these places they put the oil drain bolt back on so tight you need a big compressor/ 600+ lb torque airtool to get it off.

Changing your own oil is a pita but if you make less than 20$ an hour is worth it time/money investment wise.
