Panasonic electric shavers are surprisingly good and give as close a shave to a blade as you can get (imo) as I've used many brands in the past but prefer the Panasonic. Currently, I have the Arc4 which runs about $80. on Amazon and other than the multiple angle swivel head and extra cutting blade, is fairly similar to the Arc5. I believe this one has a slightly faster motor, too, and is a tad bit lighter in weight.

Btw, cleaning after shaving is a breeze as you simply rinse away the shavings under the faucet. With the relatively new lithium battery technology, both run time and recharging are much improved over the past. There's also a digital display with amount of charge remaining and time used. All in all, an excellent razor. Ymmv .............

Cool beans. Finally a worthy opportunity to use my $40.00 gift card. With the other discounts, I got this bad boy for about $75. Which is about how much a good shaver should be.

My older Panasonic razor was awesome but it finally failed to hold a charge. I still used it corded over my Braun but I think I can use this one in the shower, too.

Can you elaborate more on these other discounts you mention here?

The discounts are the ones mentioned by the OP. One is a 20% discount on select merchandise, the other is the 5% Red Card discount. I think you may have to use a Red Card to get them both.

I have this saver, got it from Panasonic on Black Friday. One of the best electric shaver out there. It gives very close shave overall. I had a 2 year old Philips shaver, the Panasonic blows it out of the water when compare to it.

Really? It was no surprise to me, Panasonic has made the best electronic appliances for many years, electric shavers included. They have always been superior to Braun and other competitors.

I got my first one on clearance at Fry's. It was a surprise to me, because Panasonic doesn't really blitz advertise their shavers like Braun and Norelco do.

I got Braun Series 7 790cc-4 Foil Electric Shaver for $110-30 rebate, not open the box yet, is this one better than the Braun 7?

Had this for 3 years. Moved from Braun 7 series. Great easy cleaning under tap water and soap. Smoother shave. Foils used to be much more but are in the $50 range lasting 6 months or longer. Would rec over Braun.

Yep. Not that I want to compare apples and oranges but their TVs also kicked ass. They had the best plasma and I still have their 36 inch lcd ips panel for computer screen. Too bad they have moved on from tv making.

Btw I still have my ARC4 since 2013. It just won't die on me so I can finally upgrade. Closest shave I have without barbaric razors!
