Waiting for this coupon to purchase the scissor lift. It's a $1500 item so worth the wait.

Has anyone tried any of their compact drill presses, wood lathes, or disc/belt combo sanders? I've had a "no power tools" from Harbor Freight rule, but it seems like for use a couple times a year, a sander or drill press is hard to mess up.

I have a little 5 spd still press from HF. Seems adequate. I used it to drill a bunch of 1 3/8" holes with a forstner bit through some 1/2" mdf for an arcade cabinet project and it handled it fine. Runs surprisingly smooth and isn't noisy or anything unusual. I mean could it be better? Sure, but for $50 after the coupons and stuff can't beat it. I would say it is comparable to anything that you would get at the big orange box store for $100 to $150. I would say go for it. I have a belt sander from there as well. It's fine. Loud as all get up though.

Edit to add:

I have heard to stay away from the baby 18" lathe. Underpowered and speed increments are not adequate. No experience with it but I have done some pretty extensive research and all sources say to look elsewhere. Even the full size one is supposedly kinda cheapo. Which is fine cause I get it a full size lathe for $300 bucks but that's a really dangerous tool to cheap out on. That's coming from the cheapest guy on the planet so just consider that.

Anyone else having trouble getting it to apply to anything online? I've tried several different 25 and 20% off coupons on many items and I always get "Sorry, the coupon code [current one I am trying] does not apply to the item(s) in your cart."

I've tried many different items, some one at a time, and then here as you can see with many

EDIT: It works now
