I thought I read somewhere that if you buy a sim free iphone 6s like from a place like walmart that if you pop in a verizon sim the first time you turn it on that it is permanently unlocked for use on AT&T, T moblie or Sprint.....is this correct? And, can some please explain the procedure.. I dont want to mess up.... thanks in advance.

if you buy an unlocked phone you don't need to unlock it. If you buy an iphone that is carrier locked, you won't have much success using it elsewhere.
