I wonder if these will ever get much cheaper. I have lots of dots around the house. There are some places - like 3 - where the Echo would be better to listen to music than on the dot.

Hub version? Otherwise, other than a better speaker, is it much better than having just a regular Dot?

This isn't the Echo Plus. The Echo Plus is the hub version. You'll never find the Echo Plus at this price, at least not yet. The dot is good for the price, just for automation and other uses, but this is much better in places where you want to listen to music and of course automation.

Thanks OP would rather get from Home Depot cause it's local and can pick them up and use Paypal bill me later. Surprised this didn't go front page yet the Macy's deal did and this is same price.

Macy's deal was definitely better because you can combine 10% cashback site and chase freedom 5% cashback to make it essentially $53 a piece.
